Present Opening
In our home as children, Birthdays mornings were a special and magical time. Children define the beautiful qualities of innocence, naivety and imagination in its best form. We wanted to share with you some things our parents did to make these special days memorable moments in our lives.
Birthday Mornings:
Our parents had two ways of sharing our birthday mornings with us and giving us our birthday presents when we were children. They were masters in building up the excitement and suspense of a birthday morning. A great start to the day

Younger Children:
When we were younger we used to wake on our birthday to a piece of ribbon (present wrapping ribbon or string) attached to our bed with a birthday message. Eagerly we would follow the string wherever it took us around the house......... upstairs......... downstairs ........ under chairs.......... through doors until we came to the end where our "pot of gold" or birthday present/s were.

Older Children
As we got older we used to wake up on our birthday to a birthday message in our room. In this birthday message was a clue. For example: Don't forget to brush your teeth You would then go to the place where you brush your teeth and there would be another clue or a present with another clue attached. This continues for as long as you desire with presents being staggered throughout the course or at the end of the treasure hunt. ............................
