Attribute Blocks

Used by early childhood teachers throughout Australia, Attribute Blocks stimulate children's thinking.  As their name suggests, the blocks can easily be sorted into the attributes of colour, shape, size and thickness.  Children first learn to sort by one of the attributes, and then can progress to looking at two and more attributes eg. thick and small shapes.  The simplicity of the blocks makes sorting easy for children and forms a sound basis for moving on to recognising attributes in more complex objects.   

The blocks are also excellent for children to see how some shapes fit together with no spaces between - squares, rectangles and others don't - circles.  This is called tesselation.

Tiles come in three colours, five shapes each in two sizes and two thicknesses.
